Teen Mom Star's Wife Calls Cops Day After DUI Arrest

The dramatic back-and-forth between Ryan Edwards and his wife Amanda Conner escalated over a single weekend in May, painting a picture of a relationship in serious crisis. What started with Edwards calling authorities on Conner for allegedly driving under the influence ended with Conner calling police on him just hours after her release from custody—a reversal that underscores just how volatile things had become.

According to audio obtained by TMZ, Edwards called dispatchers on Sunday, May 24, reporting concerns that his wife had been using narcotics and had left with their 15-month-old daughter, Presley, in the car. Conner allegedly refused to submit to a drug test. That call set off a chain of events that landed Conner in Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Jail in Tennessee. She was charged with child abuse/neglect for allegedly driving under the influence with a baby in the vehicle, along with a charge for allegedly driving on the wrong side of the road. Her bond was set at $16,000, and she was prohibited from contacting the alleged child victim following her release. A court hearing is scheduled for June 3.

But the story didn’t end with Conner’s arrest. The very next morning—Monday, May 25—at 6 a.m., Conner called the police herself. According to The Ashley’s Reality Roundup, she told authorities she wanted to retrieve her belongings from Edwards and claimed he had a history of physical abuse. Cops responded to their home, but no arrests were made. Interestingly, the pair had been spotted together at a gas station after her release, with Conner wearing an ankle monitor—suggesting a level of contact that contradicted the urgency of her later police call.

The Teen Mom OG alum, who shares custody of four children across different relationships, has had a documented history of legal troubles. Edwards is also father to son Bentley, 16, with ex Maci Bookout McKinney, and son Jagger, 10, and daughter Stella, 5, with ex MacKenzie Standifer. When news of the latest drama broke, Edwards took to Facebook with a cryptic statement:“I will NOT be answering any questions. Please keep us in your prayers.”

This incident comes on the heels of split rumors that circulated earlier in the year. In January, Conner had pushed back against speculation that her relationship with Edwards was in trouble, posting on Instagram that not every cryptic post she makes is about him.
