San Joaquin Delta College has made history with its largest graduation ceremony ever, held at the Adventist Health Arena. This monumental event welcomed over 1,300 eager graduates who celebrated their hard-earned achievements. With more than 3,500 students applying to graduate this year—a whopping 800 more than last year—it’s safe to say that the college is growing at a remarkable pace.
Organizers faced a delightful challenge: they had to rent an additional auditorium to accommodate the sheer number of students getting ready before they took the stage! Alex Breitler from Delta College highlighted a touching fact—half of the graduates are first-generation college students, underscoring just how impactful this milestone is for them and their families. With 400 degrees and nearly 1,100 certificates being awarded, it’s clear that the future is bursting with possibilities for these shining stars.
As the caps flew into the air with excitement, we can’t help but think of the bright paths awaiting these new alumni. Dreams are just beginning to take flight, and we can only imagine what exciting adventures lie ahead for them!
