When you contract with a company for services, there’s usually an expectation that payment follows once the work is done. Ryanso, LLC learned the hard way that expectation doesn’t necessarily apply to Yeezy.
The web design company signed a contract with Kanye West’s brand Yeezy in January 2025 for web design services valued at $150K. They completed their work by October 2025 and sent an invoice. But here’s where things get messy: Yeezy never paid. After months of silence, Ryanso sent a formal written demand in March with a warning that legal action would follow. Two months later, that’s exactly what happened — the company filed a lawsuit against Yeezy in May 2026 for breach of contract, unjust enrichment, and related claims. They’re asking for the full $150K plus attorneys’fees and other expenses.
The timing raises eyebrows. Yeezy has been through a rough stretch. After Kanye West made a series of shocking antisemitic remarks that tanked a massive partnership with Adidas, the brand’s credibility took a serious hit. Last year, things got worse when Ye began selling clothing covered in swastikas on the brand’s website. While Kanye’s been on an apology tour in 2026 trying to rehabilitate his image, apparently that effort hasn’t extended to settling outstanding bills.
A source close to Ye tells us that the invoice is on indefinite hold pending an investigation into other matters — which is a curious way of saying they still haven’t paid. Whether“other matters”is legitimate pushback or just a delay tactic remains to be seen. What’s clear is that Ryanso did the work, completed it on schedule, and is now fighting through the courts to get paid for services rendered.
It’s a tale as old as business disputes: work delivered, invoice issued, payment delayed indefinitely. Except this time, it involves a brand with a multi-million-dollar history and a six-figure invoice that apparently got lost in the shuffle — or deliberately shelved.
