A police chase in Roseville ended with an unexpected twist when authorities detained three minors in a stolen grey Kia. The drama all began when gang units spotted the vehicle without license plates near Elkhorn Boulevard and Diablo Drive, which had been linked to a recent incident involving a weapon. Deputies attempted to make a traffic stop, but the teens weren’t ready to pull over just yet.

What followed was a nail-biting chase that lasted about eight minutes, speeding down eastbound Interstate 80 until the suspects exited onto Douglas Road. Along the way, deputies deployed a tire-deflation device, which resulted in the car hitting others on the road. In a dramatic finale, the deputies executed a PIT maneuver to safely bring the pursuit to an end.

Thankfully, no serious injuries were reported, but countless questions linger. What in the world were these minors thinking? Perhaps they were just looking for thrills, but now they’ve got a much bigger ride to think about—one that doesn’t involve a steering wheel!
