Dylan Gossett’s rapid ascent in country music has been nothing short of remarkable. The Texas singer-songwriter’s 2023 breakthrough with“Coal”didn’t just crack the charts—it cracked the ceiling, amassing over 500 million streams, landing on the Billboard Hot 100, and earning multi-platinum certifications worldwide. Now, at 27 years old, Gossett is returning to Australia and New Zealand this December for The Headed Out Back Tour, marking his second run through the region and a testament to just how far his momentum has carried him.

This six-date tour is essentially a victory lap through some of the country’s most prestigious venues. The trek opens December 3 at The Ice Cream Factory in Perth, swings through Brisbane’s Fortitude Music Hall, Sydney’s Opera House Forecourt, and Melbourne’s Festival Hall before heading across the Tasman to Auckland’s Town Hall and North Canterbury’s Waipara Winehouse. It’s the kind of routing that signals serious star power—the Sydney Opera House Forecourt isn’t a stop you book for emerging artists.

The timing coincides with the success of Gossett’s 2025 debut album Westward, a self-written and self-produced record that showcased his full range as an artist. Led by singles like“Like I Do,”“American Trail,”and“Sweet Lady,”the album explores the intimate terrain of love, family, faith, and the pursuit of a lifelong dream. The deluxe edition added three more tracks to an already compelling body of work, proving that Gossett’s staying power extends beyond viral moments.

What’s most striking about his trajectory is the breadth of his appeal. Beyond his Gold-certified singles including“Beneath Oak Trees,”“To Be Free,”and“If I Had A Lover,”Gossett has logged over 200,000 headline tickets sold worldwide and earned festival credits spanning Stagecoach, CMA Fest, Country 2 Country, and Austin City Limits. He’s also made his Grand Ole Opry debut and supported major artists like Noah Kahan and Morgan Wallen. For a guy who broke through less than three years ago, that’s a staggering resume.

Presales open Tuesday, May 26 at 12 p.m. local time, with general tickets going on sale Friday, May 29 at 1 p.m. local time through Live Nation. If the response to his first Australian and New Zealand run is any indicator, these dates won’t linger on sale for long.
