When Sirens Flash: The Day a Sacramento State Student Played Cop and Caused Chaos

In a wild incident that left many shaking their heads, a 19-year-old student at Sacramento State University took things a bit too far by impersonating a police officer. Omar Imad Maadarani drove a decommissioned public safety vehicle equipped with flashing lights and sirens while shouting“ICE raid!”as he made his way through the campus.

The California university’s parking garage transformed into a scene from an over-the-top action flick on November 10. Maadarani was reportedly driving erratically, which eventually led to him hitting someone. Luckily, that individual remained uninjured, but the police were quick to step in and put an end to the chaos.

Now Maadarani is facing some serious charges, including assault with a deadly weapon while operating a motor vehicle and impersonating an officer. It’s a stark reminder that sometimes, people cross the line between a harmless prank and a dangerous stunt. Let’s just hope this young man learned a lesson from his less-than-heroic moment on campus. What will the next campus prankster think of next—hopefully something a little less risky!
