Thanksgiving morning took a dark turn at the Great Wolf Lodge in Manteca, California. In a shocking spree, 48 vehicles were vandalized as thieves smashed their windows and made off with various items. Reports say the criminals jumped the gated parking area before ripping off electronics, toiletries, financial documents, and even a firearm. Talk about hitting the low point of the holiday season!
Despite the resort’s security measures, it’s unclear if there were any personnel on site during the crime. Sgt. Steven Beermann from the Manteca Police Department advised guests to remember to keep valuables out of sight, especially with the holiday season in full swing. After all, nothing ruins a family getaway quite like a shattered window and stolen gifts.
The resort is now cooperating with law enforcement as they review surveillance footage to catch these unwanted holiday guests. It’s a reminder for everyone to stay vigilant and report suspicious behavior—after all, no one wants to be the next victim of a joyful break-in on a day meant for celebration!
