Spencer Pratt Files Complaint, LAPD Now Investigating Karen Bass Campaign Video

After receiving the complaint, Josué“Josh”Marcus with the City Clerk’s Office confirmed to media outlets that“After review, our practice is to refer these allegations to the Los Angeles Police Department for further investigation, which we will do for this and any new allegations.”The complaint has also been forwarded to the L.A. County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk’s office, which oversees the June 2 primary election.

Bass’s team isn’t taking the accusation sitting down. Her camp fired back, suggesting Spencer is simply upset because the mayor has genuine supporters—not AI bots. It’s a pointed jab that signals they’re treating this as a political hit job rather than a legitimate legal concern.
