When pop meets politics, you get a lunchtime rendezvous unlike any other! Katy Perry and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau recently shared a meal with former Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and his wife, Yuko, as Perry wrapped up her tour in Japan. It’s not every day a world leader gets to break bread with a chart-topping diva, and it seems both sides were eager to catch up over some sushi.
Kishida, who served from 2021 to 2024, reminisced about their past meetings, during which they worked on strengthening relations between Japan and Canada. He even highlighted the Japan-Canada Action Plan they forged during his visits. As the laughter and smiles flowed around the table, one might wonder if the excitement was less about political discussions and more about sharing the spotlight with Katy.
As Perry heads westward to Abu Dhabi for her next concert, one can only guess what other adventures await her and Justin. Will this dynamic duo keep surprising us as they navigate love and international tours? Stay tuned!
